Up for sale a late model austin healey bj8 3000. This car comes with the britishmotor heritage certificate showing the car was built 22 december (1966) – 24january 1967. The mileage shows 37795. The body on this car is extremelystraight. It has had an older restoration. The door lines are as they should beand the doors close properly. It has the original black interior in very goodcondition. The door panels have some minor damage and a new set will be providedwith the car. This bj8 has a nice everflex convertible top and comes also withthe original boot cover and an aftermarket tonneau cover. It has brand new 60spoke chrome wire wheels with 165 x 15 brand new firestone f-560 radial tires. This healey has a newly rebuiltoriginal servo, new waterpump, new 6 bladed fan and new hoses. It also has a new high quality chrome emergency brakehandle. This mkiii bj8 also has new lucas driving lights that have been properlywired through two relays. I see no rust anywhere on the car body. The originalframe rails are straight. It has one small rust hole above the tailpipes in thetrunk floor. The paint job is several years old but still very respectable. There are a few nick and minor chips in keeping with its age. There is no rustin the fender wells, especially in front of the rear tires. The endearing "bugeye" look was gone by the time this 1965 Austin-Healey Sprite was built, but it meant that Austin-Healey was back on the road to profitability and the cars were pretty darned good. The big clamshell style front end is gone, replaced by a traditional set of fenders and a proper hood, giving good service access and a more mainstream look. It's hard to get a sense of how small this car is from photos, but it's pared down to the bare essentials

Offered for sale is a truly remarkable, numbers matching, thoughtfully restored, one owner 1967 austin healey 3000, bj8, phase ii that has accumulated just over 32,000 original miles from new. A documented (yes documented) $65,000. 00 restoration, to the highest level was completed in 2005 by madded & ryan, inc. Since 2005, less than 2,000 miles have been driven on this professional restoration. The cars colorado red is virtually flawless. The body is phenomenally straight with consistent gaps and panel fit. All of the body rubber was replaced. The bright work is original except for new bumpers and bumper guards. The original black interior was left un-restored because of it's excellent condition. The carpets were replaced. The walnut dash is in fantastic original condition and the original becker radio is still in the car. Both the tonneau cover and the soft top are in excellent condition. A spare tire is included but not pictured. Recent additions include new gas tank, new rear view mirror with stand, new electronic ignition including spark plug wires, coil and distributor, new foam in seat bottoms, new gear reduction starter, new hayden electric fan, new wood steering wheel, and new adapter for screw on oil filter.
