Here is a true barn find 1952 chevy 5 window 3100. This truck is all original with the original 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed on the column. It still has the original green paint with great natural patina. The tires are dry rotted and need to be replaced. All the glass is still original and in good condition. The speedometer still works as the the horn. The bed still has the original wood but a piece of metal was welded in on top of the wood. Still has the floor push starter. New are new items that have been put on or done. New gas tank and linesnew coilnew plugs and new pointsnew chevrolet chrome emblem on the hoodthis is a running and driving truck. The engine starts easy and purrs like a kitten. The clutch feels good and the column shifter shifts good. There was brake work done as well so truck stops good. The body is pretty solid with no major rust issues just mainly service rust. It has the spare mounted on the side of bed. The interior looks good. The seat has been recovered and the door panels. The gas tank is still behind the seat. I have alot of pics showing the underside of truck and again no major rust issues. This truck would be great to restore back original, do an ls swap or v8 swap and leave patina. These chevy 5 window trucks bring crazy money and this one is in great shape to be original and parked away in a barn for many years.

Well, the front end has been expertly formed, keeping the original elements of the grille and hood, but cleaning them up a bit. Perhaps the most significant modification is the late-model pickup bed, which has been extensively modified to not only fit on the early truck's chassis, but also to accommodate a set of early chevy truck fenders to complete the look. The turquoise metallic paint looks great on the vintage truck's curvy sheetmetal, although it's showing a age and use, which is certainly easy to understand at this price point. A custom rear roll pan, a smooth tailgate, and a hard shell tonneau cover make the bed functional as well as stylish. A late-model split bench was reworked then wrapped in two-tone tweed seat covers that are durable as well as comfortable. A factory speedometer and gauges fit in the original holes exactly, and with a gm tilt column, it's easy to get comfortable behind the wheel. An aftermarket a/c system keeps temperatures reasonable inside, and entertainment comes from an am/fm/cassette stereo head unit that's been nicely integrated into the dash in the original location. Full cloth door panels help control noise and heat, and there's now carpeting on the floors for the same reason. The coolest thing is that under the skin, this thing rides and drives like a late-model pickup. It's a smart choice for the old pickup, and the engine obviously fits without any issues, accessories and all. A big radiator keeps it cool, and a few chrome bits make it pleasing to look at. The lowered stance looks right but doesn't compromise the way it rides and handles, which is quite modern in execution, with a modern independent front suspension, disc brakes, and power steering. Ok, we'll admit it: everything looks good in black paint, particularly vintage vehicles with lots of curves. Accentuated with charcoal gray details, it really lets all those great '40s shapes stand out without making it look excessively modern. With straight bodywork that's uncommon on old trucks, it gets a ton of attention on the street and a lot of folks fall in love at first sight. Chrome bumpers with oversized bumper guards, nice-looking grille inserts, and custom step plates add a little brightwork. It's not perfect, but the look is right. Inside it's still basic and simple, but carries enough details to give it a purposeful and upscale look. The bench seat now wears black upholstery with white piping and pleated for a period look. We'll admit the chain-style steering wheel isn't for everyone, but it does work with the lowrider theme going on throughout the truck. The original gauges remain in the dash and a set of auxiliary dials are fitted underneath in the usual fashion. This is also one of the rare vintage pickups that seem to have been equipped with a radio when it was new, although it's now a digital am/fm unit. There's a tilt steering column that makes it a lot easier to get comfortable and the rear window slats are not only a cool period accessory, but they help keep the interior cool on sunny days. The engine is a 350 cubic inch chevy v8, which is a big step up over the original stovebolt six that lived there in 1953. With an edelbrock intake manifold, a 4-barrel carburetor, and a bright chrome air cleaner, it has a dressed-up look that doesn't upset its work-ready demeanor. Power steering and power disc brakes were added during the build, both of which came with the gm subframe that was grafted on. A th350 3-speed automatic transmission is rugged and reliable, giving this truck the ability to still haul some gear, and the 10-bolt rear hangs on stock leaf springs with lowering blocks that help with that slammed stance. A dual exhaust system sounds racy and the frame is in good overall shape, so no worries about a compromised foundation. The suspension is obviously lowered quite a bit, and it has a traditional lowrider look, especially wit. AM/FM
