1969 dodge coronet - lithia springs, gastreetside classicslithia springs, ga 30122ph: 8773671835web: www. Kind of funny that a car built for abuse on the track has become so valuable that nobody takes them out to play anymore, but here's one that's cosmetically gorgeous but still ready to get out and play. First off, this is a real a12, as denoted by the 'm' as the fifth digit in the vin. The rest of the fender tag is a bit cryptic because these cars were simply 383 coronets pulled off the assembly line and given a full makeover. But it's definitely legit. It was original a code r4 charger red car, but when it was restored, it was given a proper coat of hemi orange. Nothing else says performance quite the same way and given the show-quality workmanship, i don't think anyone is going to complain. Sure, both bumpers are nicer than anything coming out of the hamtramck factory in '69, and the unobtainable grille up front is in outstanding condition, but the overall look is purposeful, not ornamental, and that's what we like most. Bench seats and nothing but the essentials were the recipe for the a12's success on the track. If it didn't make the car go faster, it wasn't installed, it was just that simple. This one was restored with that philosophy in mind, and the use of original materials and patterns gives it an honest look that celebrates simplicity and purpose. The trunk is neatly finished with a correct plaid mat and a full-sized spare tire assembly plus jack. The heart of the a12 is a 440 cubic inch mill topped by the six pack induction system. In the lightweight super bee, it was formidable and in the hands of the right driver, usually faster than even the mighty hemi. This one has been rebuilt to stock specs and includes the giant six pack air cleaner that seals itself to the hood for a ram-air effect. Correct hemi orange paint, reproduction clamps and hoses, and a heavy-duty 26-inch radiator add to the a12 look under the hood. The chassis is very well finished, and aside from some stainless mufflers, is completely stock. Tachometer

It even wears blacked-out wheels without hubcaps, just as it did in 1969, as well as a set of recent redline radials that look right but handle far better than the old bias-plys. So go ahead, spin the tires and rev the engine, the a12 was built for it. Tachometer

1969 dodge coronet - lithia springs, gastreetside classicslithia springs, ga 30122ph: 8773671835web: www. For collectors, nothing adds value like authenticity, and this mopar has matching-numbers, interesting specifications including factory a/c, and a cool original color combination. It's also nicely restored to factory specs and is galen govier certified. The code y3 cream paint has been duplicated using modern finishes, so it looks great and will be easy to maintain, and there's no question that the bright hue attracts a lot of attention simply because of its subtlety. Add a set of correct black bumble bee stripes around the tail and a cool tan vinyl top and almost everyone will recognize this as something unique on the street. The super bee was a bit more upscale than the road runner, with its shiny chrome bee emblems and on this car, the details like the bumpers and grille are in fantastic condition. There's a reason this is a show-winner. Wearing fresh seat covers, it represents the combination of affordability, performance, and comfort that these cars embodied, a winning formula for chrysler for many years. The seats are actually quite comfortable and supportive, and with a column-mounted shifter, it's truly a 6-passenger car. Factory a/c is a pretty big deal in a car like this, but it seems that was the lone upgrade. There's a set of rallye gauges in the dash and a factory am radio high in the center, so they resisted the urge to upgrade everything, which is smart on a car with such a strong pedigree. The matching-numbers 383 cubic inch v8 has a few subtle upgrades that add power but don't call a lot of attention to themselves. Among them are an edelbrock carburetor and upgraded mufflers for a bit more attitude, but those are virtually invisible changes. I like the way hemi orange engine paint looked against the cream engine bay and there's no need for chrome dress-up on an engine that's dressed like this. That big a/c compressor dominates the engine bay, but this sucker was built to run and with less than 2000 miles on the restoration, it's sorted, tuned, and ready to rock. The torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission is also numbers-matching and original to the car and has been rebuilt as well. The underside shows a fe. Air Conditioning

I am the third owner of this car and i have owned it for over 20 years. I have taken it out of storage and completely restored it. I have a lot of pictures of the car from start to finish. This car sports all of its original sheet metal, including floors. Never has had any rust. I have done a complete off chassis restoration and painted complete, inside and out. This car shows 62,000 miles on it and i know it is true but it is exempt on miles because of its age. The complete drive train has been gone through: engine, 4-speed, rear end, shocks, brakes, fuel tank, front end, ball joints and rear air shocks. Traction bars are from the 70's. Motor is a 340 4-barrel 71 block steel crank new pistons balanced rods. All arp bolts. 1969 heads big valves. Check the numbers, they are the same as a ta head j-code. The 4-speed is a 833 cast 4-speed with hurst shifter with new clutch, rebuilt drive shaft, posi rear-end. It will turn both tires no problem! New shocks, front and back with air like it was when it was new. Still sports its original traction bars. The body was completely media blasted to bare metal and primed. The only metal work done is rear quarters repaired from big tire add-ons from the 70's. I put them back like they was new. There has not been any metal bought for this car. It is still all original metal including the original hood. This hood came with this car new. All the chrome is stainless original to the car. All glass is all chrysler original to this car and very good condition. Never had to replace one piece. Original grille, radiator, hood scripts original. All original seats, headliner and gauges. New carpet and radio with pioneer speakers. This car stripped completely down and painted inside out plum crazy purple with black matte swinger stripes.

Have had the car for over seven years, bought from a man out in Culver area, it was down to bare metal, with a crate 383 that had never turned over and a huge bucket of parts and pieces. The car had a factory vinyl roof that had been torn off at one point, which contributed to the rust removal and fabrication that needed to be done on the back window. Seller's Comments and Description: 1969 Dodge Charger for sale, this has been a great project with tons of potential, just don't have the time to finish
