The "bullet nose" front end has been polished and the neat hood ornament looks like a Roman soldier's helmet with a clear Plexiglas crest. The bright two-tone green paint is certainly attention-grabbing, but the good news is that it shows well and drives great. This 1950 Ford 2-door sedan, for example, emphasizes all the clean lines that made the "shoebox" Fords famous but packs a bunch of upgrades under the smooth hood CD Player

1950 ford custom - savannah, gasavannah classic carssavannah, ga 31406ph: 9122352347web: www. Savannahclassiccars. Comoptions:description:this is a 1950 ford tudor custom deluxe with 64,177 original miles and lots of original documentation dating back to the 1950s. The custom deluxe was the top level trim offered for 1950 and this car represents the luxury styling for that year. Under the hood is all original or is correct for that period including the 6 volt battery. This is a very straight car and the correct 1950 ford palisades green paint has very nice quality shine. All the trim and chrome has a great shine and is in great condition. The dash panel, door panels and headliner are all in very good condition and the interior pillar lights add a nice luxury touch. The grey vinyl and hounds tooth cloth seats are in excellent condition except for a very small hole in the cloth on the drivers side. The dash is original and all gauges and switches are in place along with the magic air ventilation system. The painted wheels and chrome dish hubcaps have a great shine and the whitewall tires are in excellent condition. The rear tail lights have the classic blue dots in the lenses. The trunk looks great with the new spare tire. There are scratches on the drivers side rear quarter panel that was caused by an auto transporter but there is no rust, dings or dents anywhere else. The original documentation dating back to the 1950s is very rare for a 66 year old car. It has the original owners manual, including an original 1956 iowa title with the original envelope. The documentation which includes sales receipts, other titles and owners notes shows the transfer of owners from the 50s to the current owner and also shows the mileage documentation.

Most were Wimbledon White, partly because that's how Ford painted them when they went racing and partly because it was the most visible background for sponsorship decals at the drag strip. The Custom was the bottom-of-the-line, so it was already no frills, but the smartest guys spec'd a 427 (known as a Q-code) and little else. Everyone knows the late-60s muscle cars, but the horsepower wars started far earlier using full-sized hammers like this 1964 Ford Custom 2-door sedan

1951 ford custom - marietta, gaclassic autosmithmarietta, ga 30068ph: 7705780066web: www. Classicautosmith. Comoptions:description:1951 ford 5 star deluxe f1 pickup this all steel beauty underwent a comprehensive body and bed off the frame restoration. Due to the korean war trucks of this period were produced with painted grill and bumpers. The grill and the front and rear bumpers are done to original as left the factory painted colors and add to the overall spectacular look & originality of this outstanding southern estate classic. Also during the restoration every component was restored or replaced much with nos parts. The deluxe 5 star package includes the dual windshield wipers, driver / passenger sun visors & door arm rest, full headliner, door panels, interior dome light, adjustable seat, special hood molding with the chrome bars on the hood. The 239 v-8 engine, 2v carburetor, clutch, transmission and finial were all rebuilt to original specifications as well as, the complete braking system, the dual exhaust system and all new wiring was added throughout. It sports correct ford hubcaps with chrome trim accent wheel rings and wide white bf goodrich radial tires on 15 “ wheels. The bed restoration included all new wood, stainless runners and chain covers. The running boards are the original steel. It has its original & proper oil bath air filter, optional engine oil filter and additionally under the hood it is detailed to correct top show condition. All the glass has been redone, the front and rear windows are full new rubber seals, the full dash is redone. The line was announced early in 1948 and ran through 1952. Featured was the "million dollar cab" (it cost $1 million to design and tool). Ford said it had "living-room" comfort, and it was much higher and wider than before, and better fitted. Styling was classier and cleaner. In 1951 ford introduced a new front end, gone was a smiling horizontal-bar grille and inboard headlamps it was now replaced by a single-bar grille with three massive teeth along with a wrap around front bumper, this gave the truck a more aggressive frontal appearance. The fenders were revised to house the new grille work and the headlamps were moved farther outboard, the fenders being somewhat taller allowed the hood to adopt a flatter, more modern appearance. Ford accentuated this smoother look with a low air scoop in the lower front of the hood, replacing the high "nostrils" of the 1948-1950 design. New "power pilot" vacuum advance adjusted spark and fuel mixture according to load weight, and the v-8 engine earned a number of mechanical modifications. As advertised on its nose, this truck carries ford's 239-cubic-inch flathead v-8, rated at 100 horsepower. Out back, the 51 featured a "grain-tight" tailgate, meaning that it fit so snugly a load of gra.

1950 ford custom convt. - atlanta, gaclassic investmentsatlanta, ga 12345ph: 7708839115web: www. Classicinvestmentltd. Comoptions:description:1950 ford deluxe convertible 1949 is the year the first postwar cars were built and is particularly significant for ford. Losing market share through the 1930’s, partly due to improved competition and because henry ford staunchly resisted updating an antiquated suspension system, the company emerged after the war in declining financial health. But, in the late 1940’s, the company hired a designer by the name of george walker, the so-called “cellini of chrome”, who worked in the shadow of the limelight cast by his competitor, harley earl. Walker was hired for his streamline design concepts that would become, with the help of moonlighting studebaker designers, the 1949 ford. The automotive press in los angeles labeled ford’s postwar car the “shoebox” because of its box-like shape, which ford carried over with minor grille changes to the 1950 and 1951 models. With its clean, simple lines integrating the fenders with the body and accented by a dramatic and artful bullet nose grille, the shoebox was a complete departure from the 1948 model. Interestingly, the convertible, with its wrap-around design and small rear window, became the darling of the design. It was offered in the custom deluxe v8 series and, as such, benefitted from the stylistic touches of ford’s top trim models – two sun visors, armrests, and additional chrome accents were all standard. The 1950 ford was very instrumental to the company’s survival and success. While it retained the previous year’s “fashion car of the year” styling, it was said to feature “50 improvements for ‘50”. Handsome remaining examples such as this one are highly collectable as they benefit from these numerous improvements and continue to be very enjoyable, drivable automobiles, especially when offered in stylish convertible form. Weight only a limited number of the “shoebox” convertibles, in this condition remain, as most examples have been “hot-rodded”. This classic “shoebox” ford is in absolutely excellent condition throughout. With the numerous options, coupled with overdrive, it is a pleasure to drive. It is as “straight as an arrow” and garners all the “oohs and aahs” anytime out. Vintage ford aficionados consid.
