The fox mustangs are approaching 40 years old now. Awesome two-tone paint gives it a sleek custom look, while a bone-stock 5. 0 with a 5-speed provides plenty of old-school v8 motivation. Ultra-clean throughout, this is a fast, affordable, fun pony that hasn't been beaten or abused. The clean lines made the lx somewhat of a sleeper in the early '90s, but everyone knew to look for the 5. 0 badges and the twin polished tailpipes out back. The paint job is quite nicely done, with crisp masking lines on the hood so the stripe blends right into the blacked out cowl vent. There are no indications that this car has been raced, wrecked, or otherwise mistreated, with doors that close easily and great panel alignment throughout, reinforcing the idea that someone took pretty good care of this car. Following the paint job, the infamous '5. 0' badges were reinstalled on the front fenders, so it's got the right look, and they kept the stock bumpers and rear spoiler, suggesting that the guy who owned this car understood restraint. It seems that the only other external mod are smoked taillights, and they look great. The gray interior is in fantastic shape, offering sport bucket seats covered in gray vinyl upholstery. The door panels, center console, and the rear seat are all quite nice, and even the headliner remains taut. The original gauges are all fully operational and the shift knob is a unique piece that looks like a pistol grip whittled from billet aluminum. The original radio is long gone, replaced by a newer am/fm/cd head unit, right below the controls for the ventilation system. Other options include cold a/c, power windows and locks, cruise control, rear defroster, and power mirrors, making this a fairly loaded lx. With rear seats that fold down, cargo capacity is impressive and the trunk area shows only minor wear despite being 25 years old. The hard part is finding one that hasn't been modified, raced, and abused, but this one appears to be almost entirely stock. Still wearing its original intake manifold, throttle body, and even the stock valve covers, it's one of those untouched cars that just seems to run and drive better than most. Bright 15-inch weld aluminum wheels look great on the fox body and carry 165/80/15 front and 255/60/15 rear performance radials that give it the right mustang stance. It has a 3. 0 v6 that runs very smoothly, 5 speed manual transmission that shifts like brand new. New thermostat, exhaust header, air filter, oil change, and coolant. Always runs cool, has ice cold a/c, heat works excellent, and everything works as it should with the exception of the driver's side window. Even has the original window sticker. Carpet has been removed from floor due to age, has amazing camper top as well. I am only selling because lack of vehicle space. Air Conditioning

The torque converter does not always lock while on the highway. I've taken it to a transmission shop and they said the best case situation will be $100 fix, but the worst would be a $1800 rebuild. They are an independent reputable shop that does good work. The truck still drives and shifts fine - what i've described simply means it's not perfect. I would tow a trailer tomorrow with it and not worry. 130k original miles. 7. 3l with banks turbo. This is the year before ford iv'e used this truck to pull my inventory and it has done extremely well. I also own a 99 f350 dually with the 7. 3 and this one is very comparable in pulling power. Recent transmission fluid and filter change. Interior is in excellent condition - both power windows work, all gauges work, and radio works. Price is not negotiable.
