This car came up here from fla. 20 yrs ago, and it sat in a service station inthe back and was never driven. It was the way it is now when it came here. Ithas a 1950 specific " fatman " front clip with power rack and pinion steeringand power disc/drum brakes. It also has the correct cross members for throughthe frame exhaust. It has a big bearing 9 " ford open rear with 290 gears. Theengine is a built 4 bolt sbc 400. Built for torque with a nice low idle. Underthe valve covers are crane full roller rockers with stud girdles. He sold it tome because it had trans issues. Its a turbo 350, and i drove the car to thetrans shop and had it removed and rebuilt with a new converter. Everything works, gas gage, speedo, all interior dash lites, wipers, allexterior lites and signals. Body is super solid. Car was fromsouth carolina and the guy i bought it from was the 2nd owner. Original paintwith great patina. Cruises down the road straight with 1 finger at 70 mph..

1961 Studebaker Champion - Lithia Springs, GAStreetside ClassicsLithia Springs, GA 30122Ph: 8773671835Web: www. The Champ, which took the existing pickup chassis and bed and grafted on a Lark front end, creating one of the coolest pickups of the decade. This 1961 Studebaker Champ pickup is mildly modified, creating a fascinating hybrid in more than a few ways. Starting with a Studebaker Champ is one thing, but then adding a '70s Camaro front clip, Dodge power, a Toyota seat, and a few other modern bits makes it really unique. The paint was probably done when the truck was built, and that was some years ago, so it looks the way an old truck should look. Perfection is nice, but it also renders the pickup useless as a tool, and this one has no such pretensions. The Lark nose has a rugged look that's instantly familiar and the bed with its flared rear fenders looks aggressive but also neatly styled, and we can't say the look isn't appealing. The rear bumper was removed, but it still carries its original 'STUDEBAKER' tailgate and the bed inside remarkably carries a drop-in bedliner so it's still ready to work. One, it looks right and two, there's a neat cut-out for the shifter on the floor, making this Champ feel sporty. Rubber mats protect the carpets, and the factory gauges look cool in their own round pods. Get in and go, no worries. There's plenty of power on tap from a 318 cubic inch Dodge V8 and it looks right at home in the Stude's engine bay. Finned valve covers and a chrome air cleaner are traditional ways to dress things up, and there's a new alternator down there, suggesting that someone wanted this truck reliable. Underneath, it has the aforementioned Camaro front subframe, complete with front disc brakes, and the transmission is a Chrysler 904 3-speed automatic. A two-in, two-out Flowmaster muffler gives it a nice V8 burgle and the suspension is simple and rugged, with leaf springs holding up a late-model rear end on lowering blocks, so it has a nice stance. GM Rally wheels with spinners fit well and look great with fat 215/70/15 fron. Cloth Interior

In the early '60s, studebaker needed a new truck to stay viable but didn't have the money to build one. The stunning styling of the studebaker champion regal starliner restomod (try saying that 5 times fast) has always needed a bit more horsepower than the original engines could provide. Sure, they tried supercharging a few years later, but this 1953 studebaker hardtop coupe now features a stout small block chevy v8 and all the modern conveniences, without losing its stunning good looks. The starliner hardtop coupes must have been something when they hit the streets in the early 1950s. Fit and finish are good all around, and despite a few signs of use and age, it still cuts a dashing profile and draws attention wherever it goes. Chrome and stainless trim is a big part of any '50s car's appeal, and this studebaker is no exception, offering lots of the bright stuff to really make the details stand out. The grille was similar to other studebaker products, domed hood and peaked fenders make for an awesome view from behind the wheel and there are vestigial tailfins out back, all trimmed in chrome. The sweep panel on the flanks adds some drama and that hardtop profile with the wrap-around rear window makes this car stand out everywhere it goes. The handsome interior has been thoroughly updated, giving it a clean, modern look without losing the spirit of the original design. Leather bucket seats from a pontiac gtp flank a custom center console, and the original dash has been extensively reworked. Amenities like power windows, seats, and locks, a tilt/telescope steering column, and a great-sounding am/fm/cd stereo are all part of the package. Everything inside the car is nicely finished and showing only minimal wear, so it's sure to get its share of complements at shows. A reliable 350 cubic inch chevrolet v8 replaces the original lump, and it likely makes roughly three times the horsepower as the factory mill. It's a clean installation, with much of the wiring tucked neatly out of sight and a lot of color-matched components. There are also some polished aluminum details and upgrades like power front disc brakes make it feel quite contemporary on the road. Obviously the firewall and inner fenders have been smoothed and there's a big aluminum radiator up front. A th350 3-speed automatic transmission feeds what appears to be a ford 9-inch rear end that hangs on original leaf springs. A rumbling dual exhaust gives the clean coupe just the right sound and it sits easily on those polished kmc "hot wheels" aluminum wheels with staggered 225/50/16 front and 265/60/16 rear bfg radials. Studebakers aren't for everyone, but it's easy to fall for a car that looks this good and runs this well. Maybe go off the beaten track for a while and see what studebaker's best effort can do. All-time studebaker favorite iconic 1950s styling... In some ways, they actually beat ford's thunderbird to the family "personal car" form factor. The hawk was plenty sporty for dad, and had room for the kids in back. This car was lovingly restored to a high standard. Many photographs document the thorough body restoration - with all fenders removed. Corrosion - where it was found - was cut out completely, with new metal welded in or replacement panels installed. The result is a well-finished and rock-solid classic that drops jaws wherever it goes. Few people know exactly what it is, or when it was built, but they do know it is very cool! A $100,000 mercedes will often go by with barely a notice... But no one seems to miss the silver hawk! And that is also practical to drive and enjoy! Quality and attention abound. Paint, body, and interior work are very impressive. The bright-work is a convincing combination of very good re-chromed and polished trim, with some pieces exhibiting a good finish with the normal patina of age and use. Few engine compartments of this vintage are as impressively clean and authentic. Location: evans, ga ... Approx. 141 miles east of atlanta (near augusta, ga excellent investment - the best cars of the 1950s have been "blue chip" investments for decades, and will continue to be. The 1957 studebaker silver hawk is already considered one of the best 1950s designs... And future appreciation seems assured. While 1950s corvette's and luxury coupes are already out of reach - the silver hawk is one of the best buys of the era. To see all the images: there are over 100 images that will show the car in great detail. And then scroll gently all the way to the bottom (be sure to allow time for all the images to load). We also give a very detailed description of the car... Not just a couple sentences like many listings. Everything we tested during the photo-session - all lights, directionals, horn, heater, etc. - worked great... The windows roll up and down with exceptional ease due to nicely restored gearing and tracks. For the first time, i noticed the beginning of some water pump noise during the photo-session test drive. The 79,683 mileage indicated is believed to be original, but cannot be determined as accurate with certainty due to the odometer's design limitations. Odometer mileage - in the case of this car - is largely irrelevant due to the thorough restoration of the car, including a rebuilt 289 cid engine. We will store the car free of charge for a reasonable period of time while transportation and shipment of the vehicle is arranged. About me: i am an avid classic car enthusiast. After retiring from 30 years of sales & marketing in a global 100 company, i began buying and selling classic cars and collectibles as a collector and for friends and clients. This silver hawk belongs to a friend a.

1950 studebaker bullet nose rat rod. World war 2 fighter bomber theme. I've seen weak attempts at this type of theme but this is the best yet. Car comes with a few more things than shown. Such as, air raid siren 12v, 2 real aviation steering yokes (one for a future steering wheel and a co-pilot yoke to match), 4 army green tents for interior upholstery, 2 chrome 'fuel door' covers, red led lights, 3 vintage war bird gauges to be dash mounted and more. Car is decked out with army green paint, painted on 'stars n bars' on both doors, german & japanese kill stickers made by a professional aviation restoration expert (good up to 500 mph), hand painted nose art, decals for numerous markings. Has 2 machine gun barrels poking out the back of car, each noted with . 50 cal decals. All three gun barrels are black anodized aluminum and won't turn bad. Front end marked to resemble wwii fighter such as a p-51 or p-38. Tri-bar light covers give it a good look. Body- has bondo in it here and there. I had the various dent's and flaws left in it on purpose. That anti-aircraft flak can be hell !! Car sits on a chevy s-10 from so it's much more modern than an old studebaker. Front glass and gaskets are newer. Rest of glass is older, show's it age but in good condition. Condition of body is perfect for the attitude of the car. Wheels are a great look for this car. Has interior hood release. Car has no windshield wipers, had them removed. Interior- older cloth material that is deteriorating. I have 4 army green canvas tents to go with car. I never got around to having them sewn into the interior but shouldn't cost that much to complete. We use them now as seat covers on top. Headliner is in good condition. Windows go up and down. Amp gauge, temp gauge and oil pressure gauge work. Turn signals do work. Has a floor shifter for the auto trans. Car comes with a set of aviation wing flap controls and a cool vintage war bird control panel. These are not permanently fixed yet but sit around the floor shifter when it's parked at a show. Drivetrain- 350 chevy that runs nice. Car can sit for weeks and start right up. Engine bay was painted green along with the car. Engine was painted silver for a good aviation look. Engine has an edlebrock 4bbl carb. Check out the air cleaner, i looked for a year for the right one to buy and it's still the only one i've ever seen like it. It sits on top of a standard 7" air filter so functions like a normal one. I do not know the rear end gear ratio, it didn't matter to me. Rear end is quiet and works like it should so i am good with that. Has brand new aluminum radiator, stays about 190*. Car has power front disk brakes and power steering. Coolest thing on the whole car i think is the exhaust. That is 8 pipes coming right off the block, ported out the side through the front fenders. It's loud and proud! When this thing fires up everyone knows it. It's a blast to drive and play with at car shows. Car was given featured placement at a huge car show last october with about 1,500 cars. I was parked between richard petty's 1964 daytona restored race car and phil bonner's 1963 ford factory lightweight drag racer. The "rat bomber" was placed in some nice company.
